Trial run #? I give up.

Well, this has got to be the 4th or 5th failure.

Trying to run away from the entrapment.

The first and second trials were safe, dry and at home. They were failures #1 & #2.

For the third trial we tried the life jacket in the water but there was total misery. It didn't help that the water was freezing and Alex wouldn't wade-in deeper than mid-thigh. Hence, there was no demonstration of the purpose. Failure #3.

Alex's friend Julian (aka fish) who even loves swimming on land (he has defeated the laws of nature...) gave Alex a full demonstration. He donned the life jacket and was leery at first (it was also his first time)... Then got tossed in the pool by his mom (haha!) and poof! Like magic, floated! He smiled, laughed and quite enjoyed the whole experience!

No, not a temper-tantrum, this is swimming on land!

Later trials also... You guessed it! Failed.

Looking carefully

The other day we were traveling in southern Switzerland (towards Genoa, Italy) for the looong weekend and we stopped in a place for food. With our coffee came sugar (as it does) and this was the picture on one of the packets!
I looked carefully and saw a violent cow attacking another! Then I looked more closely and I actually think it's a cow defending herself from a bull!! Crazy and hilarious cuz it's on a sugar packet! I checked the bowl for more and the others were boring cows on regular sugar packets.
Do you ever imagine your favorite toys being alive then freezing when humans look... Well I stopped but now I wonder... I digress...

Lugano, CH

We stopped in Lugano on our way home from Genoa, IT and had a nice leisurely walk and some ice cream. It was such a beautiful city! I was preggo the first time I was there and somehow, I liked it much more this time. Funny.
